Toro Track

Track season is in full swing!
Clark is running the 100, 200, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay.

The first few meets were freezing (Robin even brought her portable heater),
but as of this Saturday, while running in the Queen Creek Invitational,
the temperature should only by 100 degrees!  YIKES!

I have loved receiving pictures from other parents of Clark running.

This is the last leg of the 4x400 relay at the Toro Invitational in March.
(Clark's team won!)

Maria Nissen took this cool shot!

Clark's friend Cannon took this picture at last week's meet.
This was a grueling last leg of the 4x400 relay.
The runner nipping at Clark's heel is from Brophy and the guy is crazy fast!
He is a junior named Devon Allen and his times already qualify for the Olympic trials.

Clark gave it all he had, but just couldn't hang on the last 15 yards.
(You can tell he is struggling by his form!)
After this race, he literally collapsed just off the track!
It took him a good 20 minutes to be able to talk and walk.

It doesn't help that he is nursing a hip injury, but he never complains.

This is my favorite picture!
These three are so dang cute and it warms my heart
to see them cheering each other on in their individual events.
Clark's goal for the season was to qualify for the state meet.
We are looking forward to May 12th!

Toro Hoops

The seasons these days are measured not by Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall,
but, rather by the sports seasons:  Basketball, Track, Swimming, Football
and basketball season has officially ended.

Thanks to our awesome neighbor Robert Sirrine for capturing these photos.
He is the photographer I wish I was.
Check out his website http://www.memories4lifeonline.com/ for more images of MV sports.

Love watching this guy play!

Prom

Haley had Prom this weekend and had a blast!

Here are just a few of the pictures that we have..Kimberly and Haley at the dance...

Haley's group...
They had their day activity a couple of weeks ago. They spent a Saturday at a cabin riding quads, rhinos, eating and playing games. It had been raining and snowing that day and she came home sooo muddy! She was truly in her element.

The obligatory "mom and dad picture"...

Haley's only picture request which her brothers hesitantly agreed to participate in!

Haley and Tia

Haley and Dallas...
After Haley was picked up, they went to a friend's house for dinner with the group, and took tons of pictures. They were then picked up at the house in a stretch Hummer Limo and taken to the dance. After the dance they rode around town in the limo having a ton of fun!
Haley you looked beautiful and we are so glad you LOVED your first PROM!

Sadie Hawkins 2009

Haley had Sadie Hawkins last week.

They had their day activity two weeks ago, where they played laser tag and had tons of fun!

Haley and her date Hayden...

The group (minus Hayden who had to come later due to a baseball tournament)...
They had a BBQ for dinner, went to the dance, and then played games.

Haley with one of her favorite dates...Grandpa on his way to the temple...

I thought their shirts turned out so cute! The theme was "Sadie Goes Overboard"
This is the back of the shirt with all the names of the couples in their group.

And Haley again...
Can't believe this girl can date and drive!
Never a dull moment with her!
We love you, girl!

The Best Fish in the Sea!

Haley is running for Sophomore Class Spirit Commissioner at Mountain View. Her theme is "The Best Fish in the Sea! For her speech she rapped/sang some "fishy ditty" that we desperately put together (Uncle David also helped to fine tune it! THANK YOU!) She wore huge snorkeling goggles (her 1 allowed prop) during her speech, and was mortified to discover that one of the other girls she is running against also wore goggles! What are the chances? Haley said she was just glad that she was first. The speeches were taped last week and posters and fliers were made over the weekend. Tia was a dear and went early to school with Haley to hang up all her posters and fliers. Today she shamelessly (Curt's words) decked herself in the Mt. View red and blue and wore some of her fliers around her neck and pinned on her backpack. We had to decline her request to pin one on her fanny! The speeches will be viewed tomorrow during first hour and hopefully by the end of the school day we will know the results. Stay tuned...
