Merry Christmas to All!

I absolutely love Christmas Cards!

It all begins the day after Thanksgiving as I watch and wait anxiously for the mailman each day.

I learned a long time ago, that if you want to receive Christmas Cards,

you have to send Christmas Cards.

We are so blessed with such wonderful family and friends and are grateful to so many for your love, example and friendship throughout the years.

Thirty Something

We have been trying to remember how long this tradition has been in place.

Thirty something years was as close as we could come...37 maybe?

At any rate, every year around Thanksgiving, the Clark and the Riggs clans converge to sign books that we send to the missionaries serving from our wards and families.

The memories began with just the original 7 Clarks and 11 Riggs and after all these years has grown and grown and grown.  

Last night we began with a quick little thought and a resolve to make sure the grandchildren knew WHAT we were doing  and WHY we were all together.

We then took turns signing the books to send to the dedicated missionaries that we know and love.

(Curt received one of these "little treasures" from us in December of 1983 while serving in Guatemala.  Little did we know, that in the not too distant future, he would become a part of this tradition!)

The kids entertained themselves by playing "Little Sally Walker", an all time family favorite!

(The boys would have nothing to do with this type of game playing!)

The two women and matriarchs who started it all....
and continue with such determination to make it happen year after year after year!

We can hardly wait until next time...!

HSM3

We arrived at the theatre at 10:30pm looking refreshed and alert, ready for the 12:01am showing of the long anticipated "High School Musical 3".It didn't take long until we were doing this.....
The girls were so excited to get decked out in their favorite HSM3 apparel...

to enjoy a really fun night with lots of friends watching a very "cheesy" movie!
I am now waiting up for Cassidy to return home from her HSM3 experience...

and I am TIRED!

Tonight's the Night!

Curt and I, along with Haley and some friends, will be waiting in line for the midnight showing of this ...

Family Pictures

Family pictures can be so stressful...as you can tell from the first picture! We managed to survive, thanks to awesome sis-in-law Jen, who was the photographer of choice! We were able to capture a few fun pictures and maybe even one for a Christmas card (that will be a surprise!) Here are a few of our favorites...

October Break (part 1)

The kids were out of school, Thursday and Friday, October 9th and 10th, for October Break. Since Tia did not have the luxury of a break from school, we decided to stay close to home and get a few projects done and have some fun!
