It wasn't that long ago that my preparations for Halloween began in July. I would painstakingly sew each costume and think through all the details. I felt like I was really doing something important as a mom to put such tender loving care into each child's costume.

I am so impressed that you made their costumes when they were young. I have never done that. Does going to DI count? We miss being with everyone at Halloween.
